What is LANAP®?
The Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP®) is the only FDA cleared laser protocol to treat periodontal disease. The procedure uses the PerioLase® MVP-7™ to kill bacteria and remove diseased tissue from the teeth and gums. The laser is selective, in that it only targets the bad tissue and leaves the healthy tissue behind. This minimally invasive surgery allows for shorter healing time, little to no recession, and virtually no pain. Most of Dr. Neeley’s patients return to work and their normal routines the next day.
- • Little to no pain—No sharp instruments means hardly any pain!
- • Nearly no recession—LANAP® keeps your healthy gums and removes the disease!
- • Minimal discomfort—Gums reattach to teeth without stitches!
- • Super-fast recovery and healing—Keep your healthy gum tissue!
Gum disease patients in Dallas, Texas have the option to save their gums and their natural teeth with LANAP®. The procedure allows Dr. Neeley to remove gum disease and help stabilize teeth. After the diseased tissue is gone, the body is able to heal naturally. LANAP® stimulates bone regeneration and because the procedure is minimally invasive, recovery time is usually about 24 hours. Patients experience reduced gum pocket depth and a healthier mouth!
The LANAP® procedure is the highest standard of treatment available for periodontal disease and Dr. Neeley and his team can’t wait to save your teeth!
